Y.S. Jagan seeking permission to vote in Presidential election

Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has sought the Election Commission’s permission to vote in the Presidential election on July 19 from the polling centre at the Assembly building here.

Jagan, who moved the Supreme Court for bail on Monday, sent the request to the EC through Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy. Sources in the EC said they would go through the request of voters who have sought permission to cast their votes at their respective state headquarters and announce the decision on July 15. But even if the EC allows the YSR Congress president to exercise his vote, he still has to get a conditional bail from court on a specific petition.
