TRS MP Slams TD,Congress

TRS star campaigner and party MP Vijayashanti hit out at both the Congress and the Telugu Desam (TD) on their statehood stand, terming them as ‘anti-Telangana parties’.

In her address at a well-attended meeting at Peddapendyal village of Dharmasagar mandal on Wednesday evening, she targeted the Congress’ development plank, pointing out its ‘failures’.

Her sarcasm filled speech was greeted by claps and whistles from the crowd. She also criticised the TD’s two-eyed theory on statehood. Her visit has rattled TD camp leaders led by district TD president Mr Revuri Prakash Reddy, party nominee Mr Kadiam Srihari and TD state organising secretary and ex-ZP chairperson Mr S. Samma Rao, who took potshots against the TRS star campaigner before her visit.Meanwhile, there are widespread reports about free flow of liquor at licensed retail shops and cash in the various parts of the five mandals in the bypoll constituency.
