The court has earlier admitted the petition by a city lawyer. It may be mentioned here that following objections raised by Brahmin organizations, the state government has appointed a committee to review the film and suggest changes or deletions. However, on a petition by Manchu Mohan Babu, producer of the film, the high court has imposed a stay on the committee. Soon after the decision, one Raghunatha Rao a city lawyer has filed a fresh petition seeking revocation of the censor certificate of the film. High court has issued notice to the producer of the film after admitting this petition.

Preparations are on to release the audio on Dec 14.  (That is, a day after SVSC audio will release on Dec 13).  Music is by Thaman.  Rumours are that Pawan Kalyan would grace the event as the special guest.

Shot in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bangkok, the film stars Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul in the lead roles.

Kishore Roya and Rajeev Kanakala are part of the cast.

Written by Akula Shiva, the film has cinematography is by Chota K Naidu.  Also starring Brahmi,

Jayaprakash Reddy, MS, Asish Vidhyarthi, Rahul Dev, Raghu Babu, Pradeep Rawat, Satyam Rajesh and Sudha are part of the cast.

The fifth seeded Indian pair halted the winning run of the Indo-Czech combination with a 4-6, 6-1, 12-10 win in the semifinals and, in the process, avenged their defeat at the Shanghai Masters final last month.

In the first of the singles semifinals, Novak Djokovic rallied to beat Juan Martin del Potro 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Paes had said that Shanghai final was a kind of grudge match after the Olympics selection drama when both Bhupathi and Bopanna had refused to pair with him.

Bhupathi and Bopanna, who are making their debut at the finale as a pair, now have a chance to create history as no Indian has won the year-end title since Vijay Amritraj’s triumph in 1977.

Bhupathi is making his 12th appearance at the finale and has ended runner-up four times, including thrice with Paes.

With Paes he ended runner-up in 1997, 1999 and 2000 while in 2010 he finished runner-up with Max Mirnyi.

Like Bhupathi, Paes is 0-4 in title matches at the season-ending championships.

In the first set, Paes and Stepanek converted their fourth break point opportunity on Bhupathi’s serve, winning a ‘sudden death’ deuce for a 4-3 lead.

Serving for the set at 5-4, Stepanek hit a service winner to seal the 36-minute opener.

Bhupathi and Bopanna put Paes under pressure in the third game of the second set. Paes saved two breakpoints when down at 0-40 but hit a backhand volley into the net to yield a 3-1 lead.

Bhupathi and Bopanna extended their lead to 5-1 after two terrific returns in Stepanek’s service game. Bhupathi closed out the 25-minute set with a hold at 15.

The match tie-break was a tight affair with the two teams locked at 3-3, and then at 8-8. Stepanek served out wide to Bopanna, who lobbed too short to give Paes a smash winner.

Bhupathi saved one match point with a backhand volley and at 9-9, on Bopanna’s serve and hit another volley winner down the middle.

Paes saved the match-point with a forehand volley winner, but Stepanek volleyed a backhand into the net at 10-10.

Bhupathi, serving on his team’s second match point, served down the middle, and Stepanek returned to Bopanna, who struck a high forehand volley for a winner, ending the match in 85 minutes.

He said he had even offered to merge TRS with Congress if the latter accepts its demand for statehood. ”We had given a lucrative offer (to Congress). We offered to sacrifice our party. There cannot be a bigger offer than this. (But) now there would not be any ties with Congress in future,” he told reporters here this evening after a two-day party conclave.

The TRS chief had camped in New Delhi recently and held talks with senior Congress leaders like Vylar Ravi over the Telangana issue. Before leaving for Delhi, he had expressed confidence that a separate Telangana would be formed in the near future.

He said TRS would not enter into alliance with any party for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and claimed it would emerge as a formidable political force so that it can set its own terms in the present era of coalitions and secure separate statehood. Meanwhile, TRS will organise “Deeksha Diwas” on November 29 at all district headquarters in Telangana to press for its demand for statehood in which a large number of partymen would participate, he said.

Kandireega 2 was supposed to start five months ago, but was delayed after director Santosh Srinivas lodged a complaint with Director’s Association, alleging that the film’s producer Bellamkonda Suresh beat him up. The issues seem to be settled now and the film is all set to take off.

Riot police lobbed several rounds of tear gas shells and stun grenades to disperse angry students, who marched out of the university campus for the first time in two years late on Wednesday, and pelted stones at the waiting policemen on their way to the Clock Tower at Secunderabad. Students belonging to the Osmania University Students’ Joint Action Committee also disrupted classes in the sprawling campus and called a one-day strike in the region to protest the death of B Santosh Kumar, who was found hanging from a tree near the Arts College on the campus early on Wednesday morning.

The agitators also damaged two RTC buses at Ramanthapur. Police said a suicide note found on Kumar stated that he was ending his life as the government was not giving in to demands of separate statehood. Late on Wednesday, the students placed Kumar’s body in a van and drove towards the Clock Tower to hold a rally protesting the death and voice their concerns about inaction over formation of Telangana. After 10 minutes, the family took the body to Adilabad, while protesters stayed on, shouting anti-government slogans.

With the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) dropping no hints of an early solution, the meeting is expected to take crucial decisions to intensify the Telangana movement and strengthen the party at the grassroots.

The two-day session, starting Wednesday afternoon, will be chaired by party president K. Chandrasekhara Rao. Party MPs, state legislators, politburo members and other top leaders will attend the meet. KCR, as Rao is popularly known, is likely to brief party leaders on the talks he had with Congress leaders in Delhi. The MP had had camped in the national capital for nearly a month meeting several top leaders of Congress party. KCR’s son and TRS state legislator K. Tarakarama Rao said the meeting would evolve a strategy to take forward the Telangana movement.

The meeting assumed significance in the wake of TRS chief’s recent warning of a war over Telangana. The party in recent months has also come under criticism from other pro-Telangana groups for not actively participating in the agitation. Karimnagar, about 160 km from here, has been painted ‘pink’ for the TRS meet, which will be attended by about 1,000 delegates from all 10 districts of the region. The party cadre has decked up the entire town with banners, flags, posters and festoons.
